An old Latino guy, white stubble, wearing a dirty cowboy hat, showed me his Polaroid picture. It was a shot of the sun with a weird, translucent cone superimposed over the top of it. It wasn't like lens flare. It was more like a cone-shaped ghost. The guy pointed at the photo: "Here, Jesus. Here, Mary. Here, the door of Heaven." Then he kept walking, explaining his photo to everyone he passed.
People all around me were clapping and laughing. Some people were sobbing. I looked up and squinted, hoping to see something, too.  But all I saw was the sun.
